Online hotel management system provider Frontdesk Anywhere releases its platform that tracks online bookings and automatically updates information sent to over 130 internet travel agencies including Expedia.com and Hostelworld.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA. - Online hotel management system provider Frontdesk Anywhere has launched its latest innovation that will transform how its clients process bookings made through international travel agents. The web-based platform will administer bookings through Wotif, Agoda, Hostel World, BookIT and more than 130 other online engines.
Through constant tracking of room availability, the channel manager software will immediately update all systems every time a customer books a room online. Keeping tabs on those scores of websites is a headache for hotel staff and creates confusion when rooms are booked but not registered immediately. With this intelligent new system, those days are over.
“We’re excited to be releasing this new technology as it expands upon the direct connections our hotel management system offers already to Expedia.com and the GDS,” said Frontdesk Anywhere co-founder Thomas Lyle. “We know how frustrating it is to try to keep track of bookings from potentially dozens of online sources. “That’s why we decided this was a priority and we’ve designed it to be simple to use and always accurate. Our system will constantly track room availability and send accurate, up to the minute information so online inventory reflects exactly what is available.”
For the property manager there is a further benefit. Rather than having to manually update the records at the property when someone books a room online, Frontdesk Anywhere's new system will do so automatically. The two-way system means that not only is the hotel up to speed on room availability, guests will not be mislead when making online bookings.
The more than 130 sites currently planned for the rollout include Agoda, Expedia, Hotwire, Lastminute.com, Hotels.com, Hostelworld and Travelocity. With 43% of the online booking market, Expedia is a vital tool for many hotels while booking.com is Europe's largest travel agency.
“Linking my hotel management software directly to Expedia made perfect sense,” said Eric Jursin, owner of the Tavern Hotel in Cottonwood, Arizona. “My Frontdesk Anywhere account handles all of the booking retrievals and updates the inventory availability so I no longer oversell my rooms.”
