Frontdesk Anywhere Reaches 1,000,000 Transactions Per Month

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - More than 1,800 people use Frontdesk Anywhere to carry out transactions every day, according to new figures released by the online hotel property management company. Those customers are conducting more than 1,000,000 transactions each month, using the hotel software for everything from creating a new reservation to checking in a guest.

“These numbers are a testament to the value that web-based hotel property management software brings to our customers,” said Frontdesk Anywhere co-founder Thomas Lyle. "We are also seeing growing desire for mobility as almost 10% of those transactions were carried out on an iPhone, iPad or other mobile device."

The Apple iPad is particularly important for mobile users with independent metrics showing that it was used in more than half those transactions. The Apple iPhone is the next most frequently used mobile device. Lyle added: “We have seen significant growth over the past few quarters. Our technology is well suited for both desktops and mobile devices and we are seeing many forward thinking property managers adopt our software for both its functionality and ease of use.”

Using Frontdesk Anywhere’s software is simple and setting up is quick and easy. Accounts are emailed to new customers who access the service via a web page. There is nothing to download or install and the typical property can be up-and-running within a few hours. More than a stand alone hotel property management software, the Frontdesk Anywhere service includes point-of-sale and connectivity to travel agent sites such as Expedia.com and hotels.com.
